Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We recently moved to Cape Coral and decided to stop at this quaint local business. The moment you walk in the smell and look of the immaculately clean kitchen, grab your senses. The pizza smells amazing although we did not have it this time. I had the linguini with white clam sauce. It was absolutely perfect from the garlic and oil sauce to the baked in shell clams. My wife had linguinI with shrimp and the light alfredo sauce. Just perfect for a light sauce. We also had the tiramisu and mango turnover prepared by mama herself. Delicious! And, to remove all doubt as we left and thanked the staff, we see mama herself in the kitchen. This place is the real deal folks. This is like visiting family. Excellent home made food and wonderful service. We will be back and often

Jamie was our waitress. She was so friendly and helpful with drink and dinner choices. I shared a Sicilian pizza and it was great. Crispy on the bottom, cooked all the way through, delicious sauce and wonderful toppings. My sister-in- law had the chicken parmigiana with tomato sauce. The pasta was "to die for." My wife had the cannelloni with meat sauce...fuggetaboutit! It was delicious! It's a quaint little Italian restaurant with great food and service.

The manager was really nice. He made us feel very welcomed. They were out of canolis when we came which was sad. The waitress was not helpful what so ever. She couldn't even fill the drinks without us having to ask and she was sitting up front talking to customers while we were waiting for her. The toppings on the pizza were very good though!

always a great meal here. Vinnie and his mom are the Dynamic Duo. The waitresses make you feel like they are your nieces who haven't seen you since graduation.

A great little place. I had a small pizza. The pizza was great, perfect amount of sauce & cheese. The crust was nice and crispy on the outside with a nice little chew on the inside. The owner was very friendly and talkative. Really made you feel welcome. Without a doubt I will be back.

Having delicious pepper and egg sandwich with an ice cold Blue Point. Baked fresh on site bread for the sandwich! Happy as usual here!

The service was very fast and friendly. Food tastes amazing. Freshly made in the kitchen. If I'm ever back in Cape Coral I will be back

Excellent in every way. Just like nonna used to make. Everything is homemade... Not Italian food americanized. Molto buono.

I think we may have found a NY pizza in Cape Coral. Can't wait to have it again...but for an extra treat, try the rice balls

We went here last night b/c of all the positive reviews, but am sad to say I was disappointed. It was just ok for me ... I gave it 4 stars though b/c our waitress Jaime (sorry if I don't spell it right) was great, quick & friendly as was all the staff. It's a Quaint little place & very clean. We had their pizza - crust was awesome - but despite the fact I could see red on my pie, the sauce had absolutely no flavor. My hubby really liked the pizza though & I will come back & try some of their other menu items.

I lived in Cape Coral for 5 years before to NC when the economy went bust... Had I known about this place in its previous location, we would have been here all the time. We had gone out to dinner and decided to stop in for cannolis and coffee. Everything was superb. While I personally didn't have a dinner, my cousin did and it looked amazing... he said it tasted as good as it looked. My grandfather, who is Sicilian, thought he had died and gone to heaven... We'll definitely be back on our next trip down and will be sure to refer all our SWFL friends for date nights and any night in between.

We were very excited to eat here and the food was good but... The clam chowder was tasteless so we sent it back for the salad. It was cold and tasty but almost wilted and no homemade dressings, overall good. Chicken parmigiana was tasty, side of pasta uninspired. Lasagne piping hot and first taste so so but when it cooled a bit, don't get me wrong I like very hot food, it was very good. The ricotta filling was the best I've had. Our waitress was charming and very sweet.

After reading reviews on Yelp, we had decided to eat here at some point on vacation. We needed a quick lunch so stopped in and ordered a few pizzas to go. They were so delicious. Fresh hand tossed pizza, with fresh ingredients. Crispy crust! I'll definitely be getting pizza the next time I'm in town.

We were visiting Cape Coral, read the good reviews and decided to give it a try. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, not expecting it to be as big as it was. It was a good pizza and we had a lot of leftovers! The service was good, so we'll be back!

They worked us in for dinner tonight and we both loved it. My wife had the ziti with ricotta and mozzarella and I enjoyed the Tortallina with shrimp. Recommended.

T'was the night before Thursday and all was....... INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!! Our food was great, we had a pizza and baked ziti, for dessert cannoli. The pizza was just so good I had three slices........ YUMMMM!!! Also the baked ziti was GREAT! The cannoli... Well the remains of it were PHENOMENAL, but of course my family did not save me much... Ugh :-|. And our waitress was great and very friendly! They have great seating and a great seat at pretty much the kitchen. Their walls are a nice light color of green which is relaxing. Also their nicely dimmed which also adds to relaxingness. You do not feel rushed while you are there. The only bad thing was that the food took a little long to come out. But other than that, pretty much everything was good. You should go to this restaurant!

Best authentic Italian spot in SWFL. Just like in Sicily, bread is made fresh twice daily. Pizzas made on the spot. Everything is fresh. Great service, nice location with easy parking in their parking lots (front and back).

In a word..PHENOMENAL. The house is run by Vinny and his Mama. Its about as real as it gets. I'm part Sicilian and brought Sicilian friends of mine there ... one couldn't speak...all he did was eat...and the other couldn't stop talking about how awesome everything was. You'll be treated to attentive thoughtful service, authentic Sicilian cuisine and reasonable prices for a house that makes just about everything, themselves, from scratch...this isn't some commercial made stuff that comes frozen in a tray...this is a real home made dessert.....it's real home made riceballs...it's real homemade doughs and sauces. The pizza is light and flavorful, the pastas are authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is clean, attractive and well lit. The staff is friendly and 100% on their game. Big win for the Downtown of Cape Coral to have them right in BIg John's Plaza between the Parkway and 47th Terrace. Thank you Vinny and staff for all you do!!

Hidden gem. In downtown Cape Coral strip mall. Authentic homemade Italian. Friendly family owned place. Large portions. Had tender veal parm and dinner companion had ravioli with side of scrumptious meatballs. Definitely coming back.

We were hesitant to eat at a restaurant in a strip mall but don' let the location fool you. This is some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the lasagna . He said it was even better than mine and I make a pretty good lasagna ! It is all lovingly made from scratch by mama ! The servers are so friendly and attentive. Vinny was attending the pizza ovens and is adorable. We will definitely return and bring our whole family .
